BIMCO has joined forces with COPE, INTERPORTPOLICE, InterManager, the Northeast Maritime Institute, and other prominent entities within the maritime and law enforcement sectors to confront the significant challenges presented by drug smuggling for seasoned seafarers.  In collaboration, they will be spearheading a symposium entitled “Countering Drug Smuggling in Ships: Advancing Law Enforcement and Trade Collaboration”.  This symposium is scheduled to take place at the US Coast Guard Station in Houston, Texas on January 9th, 2024 with the aim of fostering robust collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the maritime industry.
