Please note that the dredging tariff will be increased from $0.0507 per GRT to $0.0524 per GRT, effective the 1st of April, 2022. Please click here for the letter from Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
The mechanism in establishing the tariff was set out in the tariff schedule of June 1, 2003, (our Circular Letter 8166), which indicates that the rate per GRT will be indexed to inflation on the 1st of April of each year, based on the consumer price index (CPI) from the previous calendar year. The CPI for the period of January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, was 3.4%.
