The Port of Vancouver is delaying the phase-in of its ban on the use of scrubbers. As described in CL11246, the first phase of this ban, which would prohibit wash water discharge at berth and at anchor, was originally scheduled to begin on July 1, 2021. The ban is now planned to go into effect later in 2021 following a 90-day notice from the Port. We will revert when the exact date is known.
