Dear Member,
Further to CL 11298 issued earlier today, please find below some additional information on how seafarers calling the ports of Montreal and Halifax can access COVID-19 vaccinations. The walk-in clinics at both locations are offering the two-dose Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, as the single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine is currently unavailable in Canada and it is unclear when or whether this will change.
For ships with seafarers who are interested in being vaccinated at either of these clinics, we recommend that the vessel master or the agent contact the local seafarers’ mission to confirm arrangements and transport (if necessary). Contact details for both the Montreal and Halifax missions are indicated below, as are additional details about the vaccination process at each location.
Please note that we have omitted the walk-in clinic at the port of Quebec from below, as we have just learned that the Quebec site is only vaccinating domestic seafarers for the time being.
