Dear Member,

You will find below information on a number of events taking place next month, which we very much hope you will consider attending:

Annual Conference

Our 2024 Annual Conference will be held in Montreal on May 7 and will be a day-long event that includes a luncheon and a cocktail reception. We have lined up a great roster of speakers from the port, terminal, rail and international shipping sectors to share their views on how the economic and geo-political challenges of the last several years have impacted the shipping industry, both from a global and a Canadian perspective. In addition, our keynote luncheon speaker will be former federal Cabinet Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould, who will focus on the theme of Indigenous reconciliation.

Additional details about the day’s program, along with a link to the registration form, can be found in the News section of our website at this LINK.

Annual Meeting

Our 2024 Annual Meeting will also be held on May 7 immediately before the Annual Conference.  A copy of the meeting notice and related  documents were sent to each member company last week. The meeting will be held at the Mount Royal Centre (2200 Mansfield, Montreal) at 8:30 AM (breakfast will be available as of 8:00 AM).  All members are welcome to attend the meeting, which will also include an overview of the Federation’s activities over the past year.

BIMCO Masterclass on Time Chartering

BIMCO will be holding a Voyage Chartering Masterclass in Montreal on May 8 and 9, on the days immediately following our Annual Conference. The Masterclass is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, practices, and challenges inherent in voyage chartering, and will cover a wide range of aspects, both for the dry and wet side of the business.

Information on fees and how to register can be found at this LINK.

Please don’t hesitate to contact the undersigned should you require additional information on any of the above.  We hope to see you in Montreal next month!
