Dear Member,

Further to CL 11337, we have updated our CHECKLIST for arriving and departing seafarers to reflect changes that have occurred over the last several days.

In particular, the checklist includes updated information on:

• Entry and departure restrictions for seafarers who have been in countries with a high risk of exposure to the Omicron variant
• New Covid-19 vaccines that have been added to Canada’s list of approved vaccines for travel purposes
• A link to Transport Canada’s latest Ship Safety Bulletin on the mobility of seafarers
• Links to new and revised Orders-in-Council and Interim Orders when relevant

We are also working to update our checklist for non-crew marine workers, but are still awaiting verification from Transport Canada on a number of elements.

Given that Covid-related travel requirements have been evolving quite rapidly in recent days, we appreciate members’ patience as we work our way through these changes in order to provide the most accurate guidance possible.
