We are pleased to announce that Jennifer Holmes of Holmes Maritime has been elected as the Chair of our Board of Directors, and that Marco Renzelli of Wagenborg Shipping has been elected as Vice-Chair. To learn more about their backgrounds,  short bios may be found below.

 

Jennifer Holmes is Vice President at Holmes Maritime, where she leads the company’s operations and overseeing complex marine logistics initiatives while driving strategic growth opportunities. Since joining the organization in 2004, she has built a reputation for delivering reliable, high-quality service and managing challenging, high-stakes projects with precision and expertise.

Known for her strong operational knowledge and problem-solving ability, Jennifer has earned the trust of long-standing clients across a diverse portfolio of marine and logistics projects. Her experience spans agency support for complex project cargo, as well as logistics coordination within the offshore oil and gas sector, including the management of specialized operations such as the loading and unloading of jack-up rigs from semisubmersible transport vessels.

A highlight of her career includes playing a key role in executing and supporting a landmark U.S. offshore wind project at the Woodside Multi-Purpose Marine Facility—the first project of its kind in Nova Scotia. She has since continued to support similar renewable energy initiatives, contributing to the region’s growing role in offshore wind and sustainable marine operations.

Jennifer is also an active leader within the broader marine industry. In addition to serving on the Federation’s Board of Directors, she has contributed to several of its committees, helping to shape industry dialogue and advancement.

Marco Renzelli is the Managing Director of Wagenborg North America, a role he has held for more than 20 years. He is responsible for the company’s commercial activities across North America, leading key customer relationships while overseeing chartering and vessel operations.

With a career spanning more than three decades in the maritime transportation and logistics industry, Marco began his Maritime Industry career at Montship before expanding his expertise in the forest products sector. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for strategic leadership, operational excellence, and developing long-term partnerships with customers across a broad range of industries.

Recognized for his commercial insight and deep industry knowledge, Marco has played a key role in strengthening Wagenborg’s presence in the North American market. His leadership is defined by a customer-focused approach, sound decision-making, and a commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and innovative shipping solutions.
