Further to Navwarn NW-M-0054-26, the Canadian Coast Guard has now issued NAVWARN NW-M-0162-26 advising that Ice Control Zone Victor is now fully active as of 09 March, 2026. This includes the Northumberland Strait (see the NAVWARN for exact area coordinates).
All laden oil tankers and ships carrying chemicals in bulk should comply with Transport Canada’s TP 15163 of the Joint Industry Government Guidelines.
