The Laurentian Pilotage Authority (LPA) has advised that they are introducing a restructured telephone system as of July 15th, 2025, with the aim to improve communication efficiency and to better meet users’ needs.
The LPA’s new main phone number is 514-657-2041, which leads to an automated menu with three dedicated options:
- Dispatch Center for pilot assignment and pilotage services coordination.
- Transit Management for planning and coordination of vessel passages, and validation of arrival and departure windows for various ports.
- Billing for invoice inquiries, accounts and payment matters.
To ensure business continuity, the previous phone numbers will remain active for several days, with automatic redirection to the new system. No service interruption is expected, and technical support is available in case of difficulties.
Users are encouraged to update their systems and contacts as soon as possible, and to inform their relevant teams of this change. Follow-up communications will also be sent to notify users of the final deactivation of previous numbers.
