Please note that the dredging tariff will be increased from $0.0599 per GRT to $0.0610 per GRT, effective the 1st of April, 2026. This is applicable to vessels transiting between the upstream boundary of the Port of Montreal and the upstream end of Ile aux Coudres. Please click here for the letter from the Canadian Coast Guard.
The mechanism in establishing the tariff was set out in the tariff schedule of June 1, 2003, (our Circular Letter 8166), which indicates that the rate per GRT will be indexed to inflation on the 1st of April of each year, based on the consumer price index (CPI) from the previous calendar year. The CPI for the fiscal year for 2025 was 1.7%.
