The St. Lawrence Seaway has advised that the 2025 Navigation Season of the Welland Canal is officially closed.
The last downbound commercial vessel was the Algoma Buffalo, clearing the canal on January 12th at 15:24. The last upbound commercial vessel was also the Algoma Buffalo, clearing the canal on January 13th at 15:55.
